My works begun as an exploration into our understanding of landscape. In this work, I firstly trade the traditional confine of a photographic image by amalgamating it with monumental material like cement. Secondly, proposing a new physical presence of its own beyond the original photograph, I emphasize architectural qualities that inquire outside and inside. Throughout these approaches, this work reflects on the perception of infinite exchange between the real and digital images and speaks to the complexity of our relationship between the natural landscape and our civilizational, synthetic society. 27/07/2020 Sunyoung Park
